Daughter's portraits in immigration

These portraits were taken in immigration. When photographing my children, I am always in search of answers, in a parallel attempt to reassure and answer the urgent - “what will happen next?” “do I have a future?” “what do I need to become to be accepted?” “why is it so hard sometimes?” The shooting process is the safest place for us, where social conventions are leveled, where there is a personal interpretation of experiences, an honest inner dialog. Jadwiga

my photo series (in progress) with the participation of Nastya Loyko, a Ukrainian model and artist who plays the role of a young Polish woman called Jadwiga. I got to know her prototype during the artistic residency in Poland. This woman is 85 years old, hippy, has lived a life full of adventure, and her old house is the “museum” of her extraordinary journey. Her name, Jadwiga, is the name of a Polish woman whose Old German origin is Haduwiga (hadu - meaning struggle, whig - meaning fight). Despite her age, I felt a spirit of freedom and great feminine energy framed by her personal experience. She inspired me to create a photo series about a strong woman in today's world of ‘peace or war’. (2025->>>)

Metamorphosis with a red cone and a thermal blanket

Experiment with light drawing, playing with shape and color, using paper cone and thermal blanket.  As if there is a magical place and ritual in the forest that can transform a person into a bird. (Saint Laurent Blangy, 2024)

Self-portrait with narration (Janvier, 2025)

It felt good to hold on to it. The tree trunk was warm despite the cold. Long ago, when there were four seasons, the meteorologists said global warming, but I still wanted winter for only a few holiday days, to make a snowman, to take some pictures of the landscape painted by the hoarfrost. Then I was frozen and going to bed until spring. Now there was an endless winter. Of the sounds left was the crunch of snow under my feet, the bit of my heart and my own breathing. On this day, I decided that I would stay near the warm tree holding it until I disappeared.

Don't cry, babe (Janvier, 2025)

Flip book made in 2025. Here are collected photos that show the collective image of a modern passerby, situational notes. Most of the pictures are taken from the back or the angle will not show us the face, such is the requirement of the time. When photographing people, it is important for me to find some original detail, a hair color, an accessory that gives some kind of starting point in the story. It can be fictitious or it can be real. There are still common signs of modern man, which, for example, testify to the flourishing of individualism, a paradoxical consequence of the meta-universe and the experienced isolation in COVID.
